the rooms were quite basic i stayed in a supposed superior room i found a stain on the carpet i also saw marks on the nets and the inside wardrobe rail was dirty a usb port was absent too

the shower was good there was a great water pressure.
my room was not properly cleaned after the previous guest there were hairs in the bathroom. the staff seemed understaffed at breakfast the service was slow. the food quality did not justify the price i paid for the meal.

The team were pretty good with birthday balloons and a happy birthday plate for a staff member, i think that shows real care (very thoughtful!). our working lunches were lovely and the canapés were delicious for our pre-dinner drinks. i had a spacious, comfortable room. breakfast and dinner were superb. The pork chop with black pudding was a show stopper.
i noticed an unfortunate ceiling leak at a wedding i attended on august 12, 2024, but the bride and groom arranged excellent food and decor.

I was pleased with my room. the ground floor room had a nice view facing the garden. the restaurant food also impressed me. The monkfish was particularly good.
I found the noise level problematic. The kitchen fan was unbelievably noisy. the persistent clunking from kitchen staff also continued late into the evening. I was not offered an alternative room.
